This is March 2010

Curious enough the mesquite, in it's majority are still sleep [no new leaves visible]. An old indian adage said that only when the mesquite awoke(?) did Spring really start.
Many other trees are all sporting new leaves and a few mesquites but not the majority.
Guess it is backing what the ground hog said, long winter!
