I have sent a sample of the mesquite flour to Dr Wrenn and are waiting for some time available to run the sample.

This is March 2010

Curious enough the mesquite, in it's majority are still sleep [no new leaves visible]. An old indian adage said that only when the mesquite awoke(?) did Spring really start.
Many other trees are all sporting new leaves and a few mesquites but not the majority.
Guess it is backing what the ground hog said, long winter!

Many strong roots

The history and possibilities of the tree: Mesquite. (Prosopis glandulosa glandulosa mostly in Texas, palida, other variants of this species Prosopis )
